Fermenting Fall Foods
With local chef Andrea Potter


Tuesday October 27, 6-9pm

Learn to preserve the harvest using the ancient technique of lacto-fermentation!
We will be making kimchi, sauerkraut and brined pickles
Yum yum yum!


Cost: $35 (plus $2.02 registration fee) *Fermenting workshops range from $40-80 ~ this is a great deal! Includes the cost of ingredients.

Registration: Limited to 15 people.  **Please note that all UBC Farm Growing Season Workshops require advance payment.  Also,  our workshops sell out VERY quickly.  We apologize for any inconvenience or disappointment.  There is great demand for our workshops, and unfortunately we can't accomodate everyone. If the website says the workshop is full, it really is full.**

What to bring: Paper, pen and three 500 ml wide mouth mason jars to take home your fermenting goodies!  (There will be jars for purcharase at $1.25 each if you don't bring your own.)

Presenter Bio:
Andrea is a whole-foods chef. She is currently heading up the kitchen at Radha Yoga and Eatery in Vancouver. Andrea teaches classes and workshops on fermenting food and quick and easy whole foods cooking. She is also a registered holistic nutritionist. She is passionate about food culture and the benefits of whole foods.
